At Kiwanis Club of Sydney, we are on a mission to provide comfort, compassion, and care to families navigating the hardest moments of their lives. Through the Comfort Care Cases Project, we ensure that pediatric patients, their families, and healthcare professionals have the support they need during end-of-life care. This year, we invite you to join us in making this mission a reality by participating in our Annual Fundraiser.
What Are Comfort Care Cases?
Comfort Care Cases (CCC) are thoughtfully curated kits designed to meet the emotional, physical, and spiritual needs of children receiving end-of-life care and their families. Each case includes:
- Memory-Making Tools: Cameras, handprint/footprint kits, and journals to capture cherished memories.
- Comfort Resources: Blankets, aromatherapy items, mood lighting, and soft music to create a calming environment.
- Practical Essentials: Tissues, body wash, coffee, and reusable cups to support families staying by their child’s bedside.
- Communication Aids: Books to help children and their families navigate discussions and find solace.

This year, we have exciting opportunities for you to help make a difference while enjoying a family-friendly event. Here’s how you can get involved:
1. The Bunnings Dural Cake Stall
Join us on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at Bunnings Dural, where we’ll be hosting a community Cake Stall from 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM.
- Indulge in delicious homemade cakes, cupcakes, slices, cookies, and other treats, generously donated by our community bakers.
- Every bite brings us closer to funding more Comfort Care Cases for families in need.
- Stop by with your family for a treat and support this meaningful cause in a sweet way.
2. Donate to Sponsor a Comfort Care Case
All donations raised will fund Comfort Care Cases at Sydney Childrens Hospital, Randwick and Sydney Children’s Hospital, Westmead.
- Your donation enables us to provide crucial resources to grieving families and support healthcare professionals in delivering compassionate care.
- Make your donation online or at the event.
3. Participate in the Silent Auction
Bid on incredible prizes, including:
- A 2-night stay at Greenview Bowral Southern Highlands, valued over $5,500, for you and your loved ones to relax and recharge.
- Other exciting prizes donated by local businesses.
- Silent Auction open in-person at the event or send us a note with the details of your bid.
