On Sunday, September 14th, the Kiwanis Club of Sydney hosted a fundraiser lunch, and we’re thrilled to announce it was a huge success! Thanks to the tireless efforts of Naz and the amazing organising team, we raised a fantastic $6,004 to support HeartKids NSW.
These funds will go directly to helping families in crisis, supporting vulnerable children with congenital heart disease, and strengthening our community. We are incredibly grateful to our major monetary donors, including Om Raut’s company IT Together and the Kiwanis Club of East Maitland, as well as those who donated directly to the HeartKids site. Their combined generosity exceeded $2,400.

The event was made possible by the incredible support of many individuals and businesses. We want to extend a huge thank you to:
- Sony and Paul from Delhi Heights for the lovely Indian meal.
- Brett Lee for his personal video message of endorsement.
- Nish Decors for the beautiful decorations.
- Prasida for her wonderful classical Indian dancing performance.
- Bunnings Artarmon, Macquarie Caravan Park Warren, ABS Conveyancing, Four Seasons Beauty, Hayden Orpheum Picture Palace, Tuli Jewellers, Nova Beauty, and the Australian Zoo for their generous donations of silent auction and raffle prizes
The day was made even more special by the attendance of Kimberley, her husband, and daughter from HeartKids NSW. As our guests of honor, Kimberley shared a truly moving and personal story about her family’s journey with childhood-onset heart disease and how HeartKids provided support during a very traumatic time. Her story reminded us all of the vital work HeartKids does, from helping families to funding research that leads to better outcomes for these children.
A highlight of the day was the positive feedback we received from our guests, many of whom were previously unaware of the work Kiwanis does in the community. We’re especially excited that one guest, Tara, was so inspired that she signed up to join Kiwanis on the spot!
Thank you again to Naz and everyone who contributed to making this a day of hope and support. We couldn’t have done it without you!
