Sweet Success: A Mother’s Day Bake Sale That Warms Hearts

In a heartwarming celebration of community spirit and service, the Kiwanis Club of Sydney's Mother's Day Bake Sale was a resounding hit. Excess treats were transformed by Rotary Kenthurst into an uplifting evening featuring inspirational Bill Crews. Together with generous sponsors, we supported comfort care at Sydney Children's Hospital and shared love, laughter, and hope for a brighter future.

What a sweet success we had at our Mother’s Day Fundraiser Bake Sale! The Kiwanis Club of Sydney pulled out all the stops to make the celebration a delightful blend of community spirit and delectable treats. The aroma of freshly baked goodies was matched only by the warmth of community support and the smiles the day brought to countless faces.

A Recipe for Community Joy

Every slice shared and every smile exchanged was a testament to our commitment to serving children and families. Our cake stall was not merely about pastries—it was about creating a space where community and care come together like the perfect icing on a cake. The event showcased vibrant creativity, a touch of witty charm, and a generous dash of heartfelt service that truly embodied the Kiwanis spirit.

A Heartfelt Thank You

We extend a huge thank you to everyone who helped make our Mother’s Day Cake Stall so special. A special shoutout goes to the hardworking Kiwanis Club of Sydney team—your dedication and teamwork truly made the magic happen. It’s your passion that turns simple activities into remarkable moments of community bonding.

Generous Support from Our Partners

This charming success wouldn’t have been possible without the support of our fantastic sponsors:

  • Delhi Heights Indian Restaurant & Function Centre (and award-winning chef Sony Sodhi)
  • Dolcettini Patisserie
  • Bobby Bakehouse Dural
  • Bakers Delight
  • Bunnings Warehouse Australia (Dural) – for generously providing the perfect space to host our stall

Their delicious donations not only added a flavorful touch to the event but also ensured that every treat contributed to a brighter future for our local children.

Baking a Brighter Future

Each sweet treat was a step toward a compassionate goal—raising funds for the comfort care cases at Sydney Children’s Hospital. Your generous contributions and participation made sure that while we celebrated the love of mothers, we also supported the well-being of kids in our community.

In the true spirit of service, we look forward to many more such events where laughter, good food, and community care blend together into an unforgettable celebration of life.

Baked with Heart: Serving Community Joy and Inspiration

In an extra delicious twist, Rotary Kenthurst graciously accepted our surplus baked goods—transforming them into a feast of community spirit that extended into Monday. The treats were served at a special gathering featuring the inspirational Bill Crews, the founder of The Rev. Bill Crews Foundation and an ordained Minister in the Uniting Church of Australia. Bill, a passionate supporter of the underprivileged and an advocate for those who often feel like outsiders, shared insights and encouraged all to help make the world a kinder place.
